Steff Cras Signs with Team TotalEnergies for Two Seasons

Team TotalEnergies is proud to make Steff Cras’s arrival as of next January official: The Belgian rider has signed a two-year contract with the Vendée-based team.

A New Level

Steff Cras began his pro career in 2018 with Katusha Alpecin. He added to his experience with Lotto Soudal, notably participating in his first Tour de France in 2020. Today, at 26, the Belgian climber wants to take his career to a new level with Team TotalEnergies.

“I’m very happy! From my first meeting with the team’s management, I felt there was a lot of support,” Steff told us. “They presented a super project for the next two seasons that really gained my trust. I can’t wait to meet my future teammates so I can get to know them better. The good vibe in this team is very important to me. The Performance Division and the staff will help me take my career to a new level, with the goal of rising as high as possible in the general classifications of stage races.”

A Specific Rider for a GC Focus

The addition of Steff Cras is a great opportunity for Team TotalEnergies, which aims to pursue its development in stage races. “He’s joining us to continue growing in that area,” says Benoit Genauzeau, Director of Sport. “We hit it off as soon as we met. We could feel his motivation. Steff fits in perfectly with the team’s project. He has great room for growth, and all the performance factors developed by the team will help him realize his potential.”
