Tesson Shines Again and Takes the Yellow Jersey

Team TotalEnergies continues its streak, taking home a third win in three days at La Tropicale Amissa Bongo!

Jason Tesson Chalks Up a Second Win

Our new recruit brought home his second win in two days, after topping the podium in Oyem yesterday. Once again, the TotalEnergies rider benefited from his teammates’ heavy lifting throughout the stage. After a long sprint, he crossed the finish line ahead of Denmark’s Alexander Salby (Bingoal-WB) and Geoffrey Soupe in the yellow jersey.  The bonus seconds accumulated during this third stage lifted Jason Tesson into first place in the general classification. The team has been giving a master performance since this 16th Tropicale began, winning three out of three stages.

Jason Tesson: “The Guys Worked Their Legs Off”

“We started off today planning to take the sprint, but it wasn’t a sure thing! Paulo did a great job by being in the day’s breakaway. The guys worked their legs off and carried me through. I can’t thank them enough for having confidence in me, just like yesterday. We’re really happy about how we’re jelling. It’s wonderful to work with this group. For now, we’re thinking more about stage victories than the general classification. We’ll give our all to win a maximum number of races this week.”
