Team TotalEnergies almost struck their first victory during the first stage of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var. Anthony Turgis turned into a sprinter during the last leg, landing an excellent second place.
This is Anthony Turgis’s first podium of the season:
“Position was crucial from the final climb onwards,” explains Anthony. “I was able to count on my team-mates’ support! It was a good day for the whole team. When you have the opportunity to get a result and to pit yourself against fast cyclists like Caleb Ewan and Nacer Bouhanni, it’s always good.”

The Team’s star recruit started his season today in the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var. Cycling fans and enthusiasts came in droves to the starting and finishing points to see the triple world champion with his new team.
