Joris DELBOVE, already announced earlier this week, and Samuel LEROUX have just been made official as the Team’s new recruits for the next two seasons, in 2025 and 2026.
Joris DELBOVE, who won the Tour Alsace in mid-August and has enjoyed a fine season, is joining us for the next two seasons from Saint-Michel Mavic Auber 93. The 24-year-old puncheur, who discovered the professional world in 2021 as a trainee, has steadily improved over the years. Joris has been able to climb the steps during his young career and has been one of the main players in major classics such as Paris-Tours last year, finishing at the foot of the podium. His results and consistency have enabled him to establish himself within his team, Alsace being the perfect illustration.
The 24-year-old rider tells us about his ambition to join the team:
“It’s a real opportunity that I’m happy to seize, and I’d like to thank Jean-René BERNAUDEAU and Benoît GENAUZEAU for their confidence in me. After 3 seasons with the same team, I’m really looking forward to taking things to the next level, taking part in new races, getting to know the staff and, of course, my team-mates. I already know some of them, like Thomas GACHIGNARD for example. Joining a Pro Team was one of my goals and it’s the fruit of a lot of hard work and sacrifice. I can’t wait to be part of this project.”
Samuel LEROUX, aged 29, has also joined the Vendée-based team after 7 seasons in the continental team Van Rysel Roubaix.
Samuel LEROUX will be part of the Team in 2025 and 2026, wearing our colours. A puncheur who is at ease in sprints, Samuel has raised his arms several times this season: firstly in a very fine manner on stage 4 of the Etoile de Besseges. Then in Belgium on the Ompool van het Waasland, and finally in mid-June, when he won the overall classification of the Tour Nivernais Morvan. Having enjoyed the best season of his career, and despite an accident at the Tour de la Provence in February, the soon-to-be thirty-year-old is leaving his home region to join the Team TotalEnergies.
Samuel shares his excitement about starting a new chapter in his career:
“It’s a great pleasure for me to join this team, a structure committed to its values. In the past, I’ve been able to race at both levels of the structure, sometimes lining up in the Vendée U Pays de la Loire races, and very often in the races of Team TotalEnergies. After 7 years, I’m happy to be moving up to the next level, in a historic French team. It’s a team in which I want to make further progress, but also bring my experience to the younger generation. I can’t wait to get started.”
The Troyes and Boulogne-sur-Mer natives will officially wear our colours from 1st of January 2025. They become the team’s 2nd and 3rd official recruits after Rayan BOULAHOITE, announced earlier in the week.
Welcome to both of you, Joris and Samuel!
