Three new recruits for the Team TotalEnergies!

The Team TotalEnergies is delighted to announce the arrival of three new riders: Valentin RETAILLEAU, Florian DAUPHIN and Alexandre DELETTRE, who will join the team for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. These three promising recruits will join our squad from 1st January 2025.

Valentin RETAILLEAU, 24, has joined our team after 3 seasons as a professional rider.

A puncheur, luxury teammate and former French amateur champion, Valentin won his first professional race this year in the Boucles de la Mayenne, after spending the day at the front and then resisting the return of the peloton. Valentin came through the ranks within the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team, and now joins TotalEnergies with plenty of motivation.

Valentin’s first words:

“I’m really happy to be joining the team. Team TotalEnergies has a lot of history, it’s the Manoir Saint-Michel, it’s also the Vendée U, which sometimes hurt me in the amateur category (laughs). It means a lot to me, which makes me determined to get these two seasons off to a good start. I have the real feeling that I’m joining a project that I believe in, a group of friends. It’s an attacking team, as we saw in the last Tour de France, a team that races and isn’t afraid, and I really like that idea of competing. I’d like to thank the team management and Jean-René BERNAUDEAU for believing in me, and I’ll do everything I can to prove them right.”

Florian Dauphin, the classicman from Brittany

Now 25, Florian DAUPHIN has set his sights on competing at the highest level, particularly in his favourite playing field, classics. Currently riding for our Breton neighbours in the Arkéa B&B Hotels Continental team, Florian is taking things up a notch, having enjoyed a fine season highlighted by his victories in the last Kreiz Breizh Elites (stage 2 and overall). A professional rider since 2021, Florian has proved his worth during the 2024 season.

He is proud to be joining the Team TotalEnergies:

“It’s an honour for me to join the team! After several seasons with several Breton teams, I’m ready to take on new challenges and make my contribution to the Team’s project. I’m looking forward to discovering the team’s atmosphere and fighting for new successes under its colours. I’m also delighted to be reunited with some of the riders with whom I shared a lot of time at youth level, like Jordan (JEGAT)!”

Alexandre Delettre, an all-round rider looking for new challenges

Alexandre DELETTRE, 26, completes this trio of recruits. After several seasons in the French professional peloton, Alexandre distinguished himself in 2024 with a well-rounded season, his best since his debut. With his punch, his determination and his ability to show himself in very difficult races, Alexandre is a versatile rider who attempts and wants to win. His fine performances in the Coupe de France and various stage races in which he has taken part have proved his worth this season.

Alexandre tells us more about his future ambitions within the Team:

“Joining the Team TotalEnergies is a superb opportunity for me. Because of the way I race, I can see a lot of myself in it. Being aggressive, trying and daring, that’s what I like about cycling. I want to win, to raise my arms and I’m sure that these next two years will enable me to make real progress. I’m also looking forward to support some of the leaders in the bigger stage races. It’s a project that suits me, it’s simple and ambitious, and it’s the start of a new adventure for me! I’d like to thank the management for their confidence in me.”
