After a preparation that was cut short by Covid-19 last January, Peter Sagan did not manage to regain his full physical and physiological capacities at the start of the season. As a result, the medical staff carried out an examination protocol in recent weeks. After analyzing the results, the medical staff and the Team’s performance department gave Peter Sagan the green light to gradually resume training.
In spite of this complicated period, this exceptional champion keeps his spirits high and will keep on fighting to reclaim his best level:
“I am very happy to be able to resume training. I would like to thank the entire TotalEnergies team that have ceaselessly supported me during this complicated period and especially Jean-René Bernaudeau, Louis Noisette (Team doctor), and my coach Jens van Beylen”
Peter will travel to Utah from May 12 to June 5 in order to continue his preparation before putting on a bib number at the Tour de Suisse and then the Tour de France, his next big goal.
