OSS 217 was on a mission today

On the eleventh stage of the Tour de France, Daniel Oss pulled out all the stops, making his break despite the rain and claiming the combativity award.

Daniel Oss voted most aggressive rider

Three riders quickly came together to form the day’s breakaway: Andrey Amador (EF Education-Easypost), Matis Louvel (Arkéa-Samsic) and Daniel Oss. The three-man operation stretched its lead out to 3’20’’ at the 25th kilometer. A gap too slight for hopes of making it to the finish.

In the final act, Matis Louvel sat up, followed by Andrey Amador, leaving the number 217, Daniel Oss, alone in front. The Team’s Italian racer maintained his attack, and his efforts were rewarded at the finish, with the jury awarding him the combativity prize!

Peter Sagan claims eighth place

After reclaiming the last man, the peloton set a brisk pace towards Moulins to launch the sprinters. Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) took his fourth stage success on this year’s Tour, while Peter Sagan finished eighth.
