Emilien Jeannière wins the Lotto Cycling Cup 2024!

Flanders suits him so well. A consistent performer in the Lotto Cycling Cup since the start of the season, Emilien Jeannière was rewarded with the title of Champion at the end of the final round of the Belgian Cup calendar.

A stunning victory at the end of the final round

The Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen, a race feared by the greatest specialists in the classics, saw Emilien Jeannière climb onto his podium at the end of the event. Thanks to his consistency throughout the season, including a fine second place in the Antwerp Port Epic, fifth place in the Circuit Franco-Belge and fifth place in the Tour of Leuven, the Frenchman won the Belgian Cup with the highest points total of all the rounds (47). He is ahead of Laurenz Rex (Intermarché-Wanty, 40 pts) and Alexander Kristoff (Uno-X Mobility, 32 pts).

This is a first for the Lotto Cycling Cup, with a French rider leading the overall classification for the first time in its history.

Congratulations Emilien!

A solid performance in the Super 8 Classic

The day after his triumph in the Belgian Cup, Emilien set off on the Super 8 Classic for 197 kilometres across Belgium.

After a long and tiring race, during which the breakaway riders tried their luck on several occasions, a group of fifteen men broke away from the peloton, with Sandy Dujardin and Emilien Jeannière in it for the Team.

With around twenty kilometres to go, the gap widened and a sprint finish was promised for this group, who finished behind the day’s winner: Baroncini Filippo (UAE Team Emirates).

After some excellent work by Sandy Dujardin in the final kilometres, our rider completed his effort by giving his sprinter the best possible support. Emilien just missed out on a podium place, finishing a solid fourth.

Building momentum for the future

With these two performances following his excellent Tour of Istanbul, Emilien Jeannière confirms that he is now one of the riders to watch at the end of the season. With a few weeks of competition still to come, our sprinter still has a chance of winning before the end of the season, and shows his importance and central role within the project for the coming season.
