The Houtland Circuit (Dutch: Omloop van het Houtland) takes place in Lichtervelde. It has been part of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005, first in category 1.1, then 1.2 from 2006. The event is attractive for sprinters. Taco Van Der Hoorn (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux) won in 2021.
