Three Vendée U interns to join the Team

Lucas Grolier, Lucas Boniface and Alessio Cialone will ride in the TotalEnergies pro colors from August 1 to the end of the season. The three riders from the Vendée U will pursue their high-level training while contributing to Team TotalEnergies. Read on for their profiles:

Lucas Grolier, 23, puncheur/rouleur, with two stage wins on the Flèche du Sud.

“I’m incredibly proud to be an intern! All ambitious cyclists from the Vendée dream of wearing the TotalEnergies jersey. I can’t wait to ride with the pros. I still want the same thing: to enjoy the sport and to prove that I deserve to compete at this level. I’ve worked extremely hard to get here and I want to keep improving. And I want to thank Team TotalEnergies for giving me this chance over the summer, and the Vendée U for getting me in excellent shape.”

Lucas Boniface, 22, sprinter, with two stage wins in the Plages Vendéennes.

“I’m so grateful to Team TotalEnergies for their faith in me. I want to improve and help support the team, a team which has the same values as the Vendée U—values that are important to me.”

Alessio Cialone, 19, a young rouleur/climber.

“I must thank Team TotalEnergies for giving me this opportunity and the Vendée U for helping me reach a very high level; I’m recognized as a great team member, but I certainly didn’t have good enough results for an internship, so this is a big call for them, and it just makes me even fonder of this organization, where what matters is the team.”
