Team TotalEnergies recently left Western Europe on a high, with Baptiste Vadic and his teammates putting together an outstanding week at the Tour of Istanbul two weeks ago. The Creuse-born rider claimed the overall victory, along with two stage wins.
The results saw Baptiste Vadic secure his first, second and third professional victories, all at just 24 years of age. A well-deserved reward for the rider who came through the Vendée U ranks.
As autumn sets in and the cycling world turns its attention to Canada, where Jordan Jegat will represent France at the World Championships, Team TotalEnergies is heading to Asia for the final block of racing of the season.
An important stop in China
Before heading to Malaysia, the team will line up tomorrow at the Tour of Mentougou, a UCI 2.2 race that has been added to the calendar this year.
The trip to China is part of the team’s efforts to strengthen its relationships with key figures in Asian cycling, particularly the Chinese Cycling Federation, with whom links have been developed over the past few years.
This trip to China is important for the team on several levels.
It is part of an approach initiated several years ago by Jean-René Bernaudeau, with the aim of contributing to the development of cycling beyond Europe’s borders and building lasting relationships with cycling stakeholders around the world.

Four riders will take the start of the race. Paul Conor, a stagiaire from Vendée U – Primeo Energie, will make his first trip outside Europe and discover Asian racing alongside Joris Delbove and Mattéo Vercher. Both riders will be looking to play a leading role in the general classification.
Lorrenzo Manzin completes the quartet and will be able to rely on his sprinting ability, particularly on the final stage.
Back to Malaysia
A few days later, Team TotalEnergies will return to a race that proved particularly successful for the team last season: the Tour of Langkawi.
As in 2025, the team will line up for the Malaysian stage race, where Joris Delbove enjoyed a breakthrough performance last year, taking both a stage victory and the overall title.
The race gets underway on Sunday in Shah Alam for a full week of competition.
Final races in Japan
After Malaysia, Team TotalEnergies will continue its Asian journey in the Land of the Rising Sun.
The team will bring its season to a close with two final races: the Tour de Kyushu and the Japan Cup.
A season finale firmly focused on Asia — a region that proved successful for Team TotalEnergies last year.
With positive momentum behind them and several races still to come, the team will be looking to extend this strong run of performances all the way to the final kilometres of the season.
