Medical update: reassuring news after a challenging stage

Despite a strong offensive performance from Mathis Le Berre, Joris Delbove and Jordan Jegat at the front of the race, which allowed our GC leader to make a valuable move up the overall standings, this stage will also be remembered for the successive crashes involving Alexandre Delettre and Thibault Guernalec.

Despite their crashes, both riders showed great determination to reach the finish line in Voiron.

The first medical examinations are reassuring. Alexandre Delettre suffered multiple contusions and significant abrasions, mainly on his left forearm. Thibault Guernalec also sustained several contusions and abrasions, particularly to both hips and his face, where a few stitches were required.

No fractures or major complications have been detected for either rider. Their condition will continue to be monitored by the team’s medical staff over the coming hours.

Team TotalEnergies will continue its Tour de France campaign with Jordan Jegat ideally positioned in the general classification, while closely following the recovery of his two teammates.
