The Giro dell'Emilia is an Italian cycling race, contested around Bologna, in the Emilia-Romagna region. Its first edition took place in 1909. Since 2005, it has been part of the UCI Europe Tour, in the highest category 1.HC. The route of this end-of-year classic features climbs in Monzuno and Loiano halfway through, and ends with a circuit in Bologna including an ascent (San Luca) at the top of which is the finish line. It is above all suitable for climbers.
