The Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes has just come to an end. Staying true to its racing DNA, Team TotalEnergies once again showed its attacking and ambitious style throughout the event.
On every road stage, at least one rider from the team featured at the front of the race. Team TotalEnergies also found itself in contention for stage victories on several occasions, with Mattéo Vercher’s podium finish in Montrond-les-Bains standing out as a reward for the team’s efforts.
With the Tour de France now just a few weeks away, only a handful of races remain before the Grand Départ. Team TotalEnergies now heads into another busy week of competition, with sixteen riders set to race across two different events.
Heading to Belgium
Starting tomorrow, Alexys Brunel, Florian Dauphin, Alexandre Delettre, Thomas Gachignard, Nicola Marcerou and Anthony Turgis will line up in Montaigu-Zichem for five stages of racing on Belgian roads.
The race will cover more than 925 kilometres and features terrain suited to both sprinters and punchers. It is a race where each of the six riders could have an opportunity to make their mark.
Climbers Set for the Route d’Occitanie
The Route d’Occitanie gets underway on Thursday with three stages on the programme.
The Team TotalEnergies line-up will feature climbers Joris Delbove, Fabien Doubey, Alan Jousseaume, Fabien Grellier and Valentin Retailleau, joined by the team’s fast men Jason Tesson and Sandy Dujardin.
Jason Tesson already has fond memories of the race, having claimed a sprint victory there in 2023.
After three days of racing, the riders will reach Loudenvielle, the finish of the final stage and the decisive battleground of this 49th edition of the Route d’Occitanie.
The squad will then continue its campaign on Sunday at the second edition of the Andorra Morabanc Clàssica.
This final week of racing will conclude the team’s competitive block before the French National Championships, one of Team TotalEnergies’ major objectives of the season.
