The “Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen” is a UCI 1.1 classified Flemish classic held in mid-September. Around the villages of Koolskamp, Pittem and Egem, the ~175-190 km course combines hilly circuits and cobbled areas typical of West Flanders. A popular festival since 1908, often settled by sprint, where mastery of wind and positioning is paramount.
