A new motif for Team TotalEnergies

A tribute to our origins, with our sights set on the future

Team TotalEnergies today unveils its brand-new jersey design for the 2025 Tour de France. A meaningful return to its roots, rich in symbols and values, this design pays a heartfelt tribute to the history of Vendée cycling and to the man who has embodied it for nearly three decades: Jean-René Bernaudeau.

The checkerboard – more than a pattern, a memory

The 2025 jersey draws direct inspiration from the legendary Peugeot team kit, known for its elegant black-and-white checkerboard motif. This striking and timeless design is a nod to the early glory days of Jean-René Bernaudeau, then a promising young rider, racing alongside Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle and Stephen Roche.

A jersey that carries values forward

Beyond its aesthetic, the jersey reflects a deeper vision of cycling: one that emphasizes learning and collective effort. These are the values Jean-René Bernaudeau instilled when he founded SA Vendée Cyclisme in 2000. Through this visual reference, the team honors a sporting philosophy rooted in strong local ties, loyalty to origins, boldness, and respect.

A creation bridging past and future

Designed as a link between the legacy of its founder and the new generation he now mentors, the 2025 Tour jersey reminds us that cycling is a story of transmission. It embodies the elegance of dedication, pride in the journey, and the ambition to keep promoting a region on the biggest stage in world cycling.
