Whereas just over a month and a half ago, the Belgian rider suffered a crash at the Critérium du Dauphiné, compromising his future participation in the Tour de France, he is now well and truly present in the group and performing even better.
The Tourmalet as a highlight.
Sixth stage of the Tour de France, second stage in the Pyrenees, this time with two passes, including the unique Col du Tourmalet. Steff Cras seems ideally placed to compete on the day’s various slopes and climbs.
And indeed, the 27-year-old Belgian put in a solid performance today to climb to 14th place overall. Encouraging for the future.
The words of our General Manager – Jean-René Bernaudeau:
“As for Steff Cras, who is here for the overall, it’s a great confirmation. He’s an extremely valuable and precise person. His quality is reliability, and 14th place overall is a little better than we had expected.”
