For two weeks, the peloton dives into the heart of Belgium and its legendary roads. Cobbles, wind, short punchy climbs: the Flemish spring turns every race into a battle, where the passion for cycling is expressed in every kilometre.
Often referred to as the “Holy Fortnight”, this sequence brings together some of the most iconic races on the WorldTour calendar. On these lands of tradition, every race matters, every sector can change the outcome, and every detail becomes crucial.
Team TotalEnergies will be on the start line throughout this key period.
Already in the mix last week, with a 4th place for Emilien Jeannière and a podium for Anthony Turgis on the roads of Hainaut, the team heads into these upcoming races with ambition. Three opening fixtures will set the tone: the Tour of Bruges (25/03), E3 Saxo Classic (27/03) and Gent–Wevelgem (In Flanders Fields) (29/03).
Starting tomorrow in Bruges, the race should favour the sprinters. Formerly known as Classic Brugge–De Panne, this relatively flat race offers a perfect playground for the fast men of the peloton. The team will rely on Emilien Jeannière and Jason Tesson to deliver in the finale, supported by a strong unit featuring Florian Dauphin, Pierre Thierry, Lorrenzo Manzin, Nicola Marcerou and the time trial specialist Samuel Leroux, all committed to positioning them in the best possible way into the final.
The nature of the racing will change significantly on Friday and Sunday. With a succession of climbs and cobbled sectors—such as the Karnemelkbeekstraat or the feared Kemmelberg—the outcome will become far more unpredictable. These demanding terrains will suit the true Flandriens, with Anthony Turgis, Sandy Dujardin, Thomas Gachignard and Alexys Brunel leading the charge for these two key races.
Three opening races to kick off an intense week, before moving on to Dwars door Vlaanderen and then the mythical Tour of Flanders, the pinnacle of this Flemish fortnight.
