It is the second monument of the season after Milan-San Remo. In 2018, Niki Terpstra won under the colors of Quick-Step. In 2019, Anthony Turgis shone there, achieving a magnificent 8th place. The event has changed course in recent years and starts from Bruges to reach Oudenaarde, crossing 19 mountains and crossing 6 cobblestone sectors.
