A classic UCI WorldTour race, Eschborn–Frankfurt alternates between long, fast sections and climbs in the Taunus Mountains. The course gradually weeds out the sprinters with the least endurance. All-around riders, capable of tackling the climbs before a fast finish, are particularly well-suited to this race.
