Team TotalEnergies Heads Back to the Mountains

Team TotalEnergies enters a particularly important month of June in its 2026 season. Marking the start of the second half of the campaign, this period also represents a key block of racing ahead of the sport’s biggest event in July.

The month gets underway at the Mercan’Tour Classic Alpes-Maritimes. One of the youngest races on the French calendar and part of the United Series, the event has quickly established itself as a must-attend challenge for climbers.

Since its creation, the race has not always smiled on Team TotalEnergies. Last year, however, Alan Jousseaume delivered a strong performance, finishing 9th at the summit finish in Valberg.

For this year’s edition, the team will rely on several riders who have specifically prepared for this demanding mountain rendezvous. Jordan Jegat, Mattéo Vercher, Nicolas Breuillard, Geoffrey Bouchard and Mathis Le Berre have all spent recent weeks at altitude, fine-tuning their condition for the upcoming objectives.

Alongside them, Alan Jousseaume and Fabien Grellier will complete the line-up, with the mission of supporting their leaders and helping the team arrive in Valberg in the best possible position to fight for a strong result in the Alpes-Maritimes.

At 152 kilometres in length, the course promises to be highly demanding. The ascent of three major climbs will shape this mountainous day of racing, which will also serve as a valuable test just days before the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. A full-scale examination before the team heads into the next key challenges of the summer.
